Started operations on 04/10/15 from a new purpose-built hangar in the Southwestern corner of the airfield as part of the UK SAR contract. 
Two AgustaWestland AW189s replaced two AW139s in 08/18. Reduced to one helicopter late 2022, although a second visits when required.

The Fly Harrier Trust 

Established in 2014, The Fly Harrier Trust is dedicated to bringing the BAE Harrier back once more to British skies, and advancing the knowledge of the public to this most iconic aircraft. Founded by Mark Fitzgerald and Sir Peter Rigby, the Trust aims to honour the aircraft's long and distinguished service, its extraordinary engineering ingenuity, and the pilots that flew it by restoring two rare Harriers to flight-ready-condition. Based in the Horizon Aircraft Services hangar.
