Afternoon all. I have just got up after my long journey yesterday. The boards will return tomorrow as normal...I would like to thank all those who sent messages wishing me well after my ordeal in Las Vegas, they certainly made me feel a lot better....regards Ian G

Army Air 598 an Islander has just landed (1245)...this has now left (1500) and was ZG847 of 1 Flight

G-THOP B733 TOM872D of ThomsonFly just landed (1300)

Just landing is F70 PH-KZH of KLM c/s KLM1065

It appears that G-TOYC bmi Baby is tech today (1330). It has just been engine testing on echo and is now being towed back to stand 13.

Seen at the club at around 1430hrs was PA-28 G-BOFY ...this one based at Kemble

Just in (1515) is ATR-72 EI-REH of Aer Arann on the REA421

Zoom B767 C-GZNC of Zoom has just landed (1540)

KL1063/1064 today is F100 PH-OFN

A couple of additions to today's blog taken from the SBS - KL1060 was PH-OFE, BE1431 was G-JECE and BE1435 was G-JECT.

THe Islander ZG847 has been quite active over the past two days - I've had it on the SBS on four occasions each day

MOD St Athan Information - EGSY 07/25

To spot here you're best off taking the B4265 St Athan to Llantwit Major road. From here you will see a railway bridge that leads to a paved track that runs along the fence and runway. This track leads to an unmanned entrance gate and is under CCTV surveillance. If you use this track, please park at the far end, not on the verges, as it is used by wide farm vehicles and delivery lorries. All a/c in outside storage can be seen from the bridge itself. The track can also be accessed via St Athan village via Llantwit Road opposite the Church. To view the Caerdav hangar (Twin Peaks) and scrapping area continue westbound along the B4265, past the West Gate entrance and turn right at the traffic lights. Follow this road to the T-junction and turn right onto the new road. The entrance road to the South Wales Aviation Museum is left at the next traffic lights, views can also be had from here as it's the only convenient stopping place. Be aware there are regular Security and Police patrols around the airfield and you may be stopped and questioned.
