Cardiff IAP Runway in use 30
The frequency in use for the Wales Rally GB is 122.95
Visitors
Parked on stand 15 is Pilatus PC-12 HB-FOX, this will be very active over the coming days as the Wales Rally GB comms relay aircraft using c/s "Lions 1", departed 07:37 returned 11:59 ..departed 12:35 as "Lions 2" returned 19:34
Parked southside should be PA-31 N5LL and DA-42 N228US
Departing at 06:55 is Cessna T.206H EI-SPB
Due in from Geneva at 11:16 is "NJE7EV" Cessna 550 CS-DHQ c/n 550-1109, departs 12:40 to Luton ..landed 10:42 parking stand 15 ..departed 12:27 as "NJE7V"
Inbound from Swansea at 11:10 is PA-38 G-BOHU did a touch and go 11:24 and departed to Swansea
Inbound at 14:05 for an approach to break cloud before continuing to Swansea is Eddie Stobarts Beechjet G-STOB ..broke off early and to Swansea along the coast ..returned to Cardiff from Swansea and landed 15:18 parking stand 16
Transients (Below FL160)
Inbound to Swansea Docks at 07:30 from a private site in Devon is "Rally 3" A.109S N109GR. This also landed Cardiff Heliport around 13:00hrs prior to that a R-22 was noted landing but not identified.
Departing Tremorfa at 08:05 enroute the rally site is EC.120B G-LHCC ..returned 15:05
Routing Liskeard-Flatholm-Severn bridges at 08:35 is Agusta 109 "Castle 01" ..returned 15:55
Routing Lavernock Point-Barry Island-Nash Point-Port Talbot (pax pick-up)-Aberporth at 09:22 is a Navy Lynx HMA.8 "Inferno 004" ..returned from a rugby ground in Swansea along the coast past the AP at 15:46 before crossing the channel to Yeovilton
Departing the heliport at 10:55 are Bell 407 "Rally 8" (probably G-OZAC), Longranger "Rally 12" (probably G-PWIT), Twin Squirrel "Rally 9" (probably the ex Police G-SEWP) & "Rally 11" .."Rally 8" returned 12:47 ..all were back by 16:30
Routing Welshpool-Barry Docks-Exeter racecourse at 11:05 is Jetranger G-TOYZ
Routing Bridgewater-Swansea at 11:30 is PA-28 SE-EOS ..returned 12:35 to a private site near Southampton
